About

I'm a second-year Management Engineering student at Waterloo — a program focused on modelling systems, analyzing data, and improving how things run. I gravitate toward projects that take something messy (a spreadsheet, a research pile, a blank page) and make it usable. Or projects that take something vague (idea, rough draft, vision), and make it beautiful.

Recently I've been working on small data, automation and web projects while learning more about Unity and technical art.

Tools: Python, Excel/VBA, SQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, C#, Unity, Figma, Git, Blender and Photoshop.

Experience

Growth Intern

Jul – Aug 2026

Transformer Lab · Waterloo

Benchmarked eight AI companies' launch campaigns to help shape our own, built and prioritized a press outreach list, and wrote social copy — at an early-stage AI startup, working with a small team. Came out of it with an Excellent work-term evaluation.

Server & Front of House

Jul 2026 – present

Foodie Fruitie · Waterloo

Front-of-house and table service — seating, orders, payments — during busy, fast-paced shifts. Serve customers in English or Mandarin depending on the table, and deal with problems directly when they come up.

Bookkeeping & Operations Assistant

2023 – Aug 2025

Deeplake Trading · Remote

Reconciled receipts, invoices and bank records for an international trade business, then standardized expense tracking so tax preparation took less manual work each year.

Projects

Random City Generator

Python · Matplotlib · 2026

A small procedural drawing experiment that creates a different skyline each time by randomizing building size, windows and rooftop towers. I later recreated the basic idea in JavaScript for this website.

GitHub ↗

Personal Finance Tracker & Advisor

Excel · VBA · 2025

An Excel workbook that logs income and expenses through a form, then reasons about them: flags any category running over 30% of monthly spend, gives net-worth-based savings advice, and rolls each month's balance into the next. A small goal tracker shows progress toward a savings target.

GitHub ↗

Methane Emissions Heatmap

Python · pandas · Seaborn · Hackathon 2026

Built at a hackathon: cleans a messy sensor CSV, groups readings into fixed-size spatial cubes, and renders the result as a heatmap so emission hotspots are visible at a glance.

GitHub ↗

Daily Activity & Task Log

Excel · VBA · 2025

A time-use log with a dropdown-driven entry form and input validation that rejects bad hours or dates before they're saved, plus a small tool that scores tasks by urgency, difficulty and importance.

Unity Editor Tooling

C# · Unity · 2026 – present

Custom Editor tools built against Unity's extension API to automate the repetitive parts of scene setup in a personal game project.

This Website

HTML · CSS · JavaScript · 2026

My personal portfolio and an ongoing web project. I designed the layout around a dark city theme, made it responsive for smaller screens, and recreated my Python city generator with the HTML canvas.
